Terry Purdy has been helping nonprofit organizations achieve fundraising goals for over since 1986. Terry began his career as director of development for a liberal arts college in Georgia. Since this time, Terry has held positions as a senior consultant with fundraising firms in Texas and Florida.

Over his career as a nonprofit consultant and fundraiser, Terry has worked on local, regional, and national campaigns with a variety of organizations nationwide. He has extensive experience working with higher education as well as economic development organizations.

In addition to his consulting and fundraising work, Terry also owned his own marketing and graphics design company. Terry’s marketing company has worked with large and small corporations throughout the southeast helping them to develop marketing materials designed to further their company’s vision.

A variety of fundraising experience has taught Terry that the organizations may differ, but the fundamentals of relationship building, developing a strong CASE for Support or investment plan, and diligent preparation are common to every organization’s effort.

  • Terry has helped raise more than $50,000,000 for nonprofit organizations over the past seven years.
  • Terry has worked as both a supervisory consultant, overseeing the campaign efforts and training staff and volunteers to do the daily tasks as well as a resident consultant, taking on the task of daily running of a campaign.
  • Terry has worked on several high profile higher education campaigns including a campaign for Shorter College in Rome Georgia in which his team raised more than $8,000,000 on a $6,000,000 goal and is currently working on a project for $28.3 million as a base goal.
  • Recent work has centered around helping community colleges develop programs and conduct campaigns. Similar to economic development campaigns, community colleges rely on their relations with the local business establishment for fundraising. As training facilities, they create a symbiotic relationship with businesses to help create a qualified workforce.
